05 May 2020 – UPDATE

We are continuing to carefully monitor the current events and Government Advice.

We hope to bring you an event for 2020, however our priority will always be ensuring the safety of our Anglers and the Community.

With so much uncertainty at the moment, the Committee will meet again in early June to make a final decision on the 2020 Snowy Mountains Trout Festival.

We thank you all for your patience and will provide another update next month.

Kind Regards,

The Snowy Mountains Trout Festival Committee

Dear Competitors, Family and Friends.
As we collectively watch the news in these testing times, we hope this finds you and your loved ones safe and well.
With the effect of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic continuing to unfold across Australia with extraordinary impacts on us all.
For many of us, nothing in living memory comes close to what we are currently experiencing.
This gives the committee of the 2020 Snowy Mountains Trout Festival no other choice than to change the current format (or postpone) this year’s event unless the situation changes for the better in the near future.
So please continue to watch this web site for further updates.
Kindest Regards
Snowy Mountains Trout Festival Committee

2nd Prize is a Fishing Kayak & accessories package valued at $3,000 – proudly supported by Compleat Angler Merimbula.
3rd prize is a Battery-Operated Car Fridge valued at $1000 – proudly supported by Compleat Angler Merimbula.
4th Prize is an accommodation package valued at over $800 – proudly sponsored by Buckenderra Holiday Village.

Prizes are awarded to the largest rainbow and brown trout for each category (troll, bait, spin and fly). This year’s category prizes are $500 worth of quality fishing tackle.
Special prize packs will be awarded to our juniors who weigh in the largest brown and rainbow trout.
We also have random cash draws for our Club/Team category.

In addition, we are giving away $12,000 in cash prizes over the six days in secret weights.

There are also prizes for the largest brown and rainbow trout recorded at each weigh in station daily.

Our ability to make these prizes available is due to the strong support from some of Australia’s leading tackle wholesalers, EJ Todd & Son, JM Gillies, Pure Fishing, Rapala and

Frogley’s Offshore. With all these amazing prizes on offer, this is a fishing event not to be missed.

The committee hopes you enjoy fishing the beautiful Snowy Mountains area and we look forward to seeing you again.
